Welfare fund and Pension for Astrologers belongs to Ganaka Kammunity

As a result of series of agitation and strikes in front of various government institutions including secretariat, Keala Ganaka Kanisa Sabha is now achieved the order from Kerala Government for Welfare Fund and Pension for Astrologers who belongs to Ganaka Community comprises of Ganaka, Kanisa, Kaniyar Panicker, Kalari panicker etc. This is one of the biggest achievement of Kerala Ganaka Kanisa Sabha(KGKS). Hon Minster Shri.Paloli Mohammedkutty assured Shri.Sakathan MLA that government will take all necessary action to begin the scheme immediately.

Let all astrologers from ganaka community avail this opportunity. For further details please contact the concerned district committee of Kerala Ganaka Kanisa Sabha.

    Kalari Panickers of Trichur are really martial art teachers.

The Kaniyan are known by different names in different regions of Kerala, such as the Kaniyan or Balleyyaya in northern areas, the Panicker in Central Malabar, Ganakas in Cochin area, the Kani or Kanian or Kanisan in Travancore area. But irrespective of these local reference, they all are belong to the same community. More details about how different name derived can be seen from the following references
